Medical Canvass Plus Record Retrieval, Prescription Drug Reviews and More!

We here at SCS are excited to announce the new services outlined below, including Canvass Plus and Prescription Drug Reviews.

Normally when a trace report is ordered on a claim, once the canvass is complete and the report is submitted, you still don't have the medical records in your possession. We're thrilled to let you know that's all changed, we can do it all - we will do the canvass, plus retrieve the records!

  • *New* – Medical Records Canvass – Using state of the art technology, we are able to research and identify prior medical providers broken down by specialty (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, etc) within a specified radius of your claimant’s address(es). Unlike our competition, we can retrieve records from providers discovered during the canvass upon receipt of a signed HIPAA release.
  • *New* – Prescription Drug Review/Analysis – Review of medical records and evaluation by a licensed pharmacist of the claimant's drug usage. The benefits of a Prescription Drug Review include: 1) Monitoring and controlling the use of narcotic drugs 2) Identifying abuse and misuse of medications 3) Determining whether medications are prescribed for the compensable injury 4) Identifying drug interactions and duplications 5) Identifying available generic medications 6) Cost control of medications.
    In addition to Canvass Plus and Prescription reviews, we continue to provide the following services:
    • Medical Records Retrieval – Obtain prior and/or current medical records with HIPAA compliant authorization.
    • Review and Summary of Medical Records – Summary and analysis of all records that have been received.
    • Identify Additional Providers – Includes review of records received and request records from additional providers.
    • Services related to Section 15-8.
